Our team are highly trained in many areas and are happy to look after your general health and more specific requirements. We are dedicated to listening to you, discussing your physical and mental concerns in an honest and open fashion. We will provide you with up to date, evidence-based medical advice to make informed choices when it comes to managing your health.

​​This Practice is a training practice with the North East GP Training Programme. Each year, we are allocated a GP Registrar. This is a fully qualified Doctor who is completing their GP Training with us.
From time to time, the Practice also has UCD Medical Students as a result of Dr. McCauley’s role as UCD GP Tutor.

Graduated from UCD in 2000.
She completed the N.E. GP Training Programme in 2010.
She was established as a GP Principal in 2011.
She is a GP Trainer with the N.E. GP Training Programme and is a GP Tutor with UCD.

Lucy Callaghan
Practice Nurse

With over 30 years experience in nursing, Lucy specialises in Asthma Respiratory Care, Wound Management and general wellbeing.
Lucy is currently working closely with the Doctors of the Practice, caring for individuals in Chronic Disease Management.
Denise Kelleher
Practice Nurse

16 years working as an RSN, completed her nursing experience in the UK, from London Southbank University. Has gained extensive experience in the UK and Ireland. Spent a lot of working in E.D., Palliative Care, Practice Nurse Setting. Joined the Surgery in 2021, specialising in Women's Health, Cervical Screening, Immunisations, Childhood Vaccines, Venesection, Phelebotomy, Cryotherapy, Wound Management, Ear Syringing, and Family Planning.
Louanne McCahill
Practice Manager

Louanne has twenty years experience in General Practitioners Surgery. Louanne joined Acorn Practice in 2022 as Practice Manager.
Louanne is the ‘go to’ person in the Practice. She will have the answers to your questions. Excellent organiser, team manager and all round professional.
Gemma Smith

Gemma has been a part of the team for the last two years. Gemma has over 20 years of customer service experience.
Gemma is very adept at communication and empathy. Gemma is a great organiser and team player.
